I am the proud Mama of two fabulous pups! And we love to fill our summers with camping and trips on the water in our boat. The dogs love it too! Pictured below:

So you can imagine my delight in finding out our card challenge theme this week is:
National Hug Your Dog Day!!!
I was also delighted in discovering this adorable digital image "Puppy at the Beach".
I wanted to have a little fun and die cut my image with thoughts of making a circle card. While choosing my background paper I realized not enough of it would show and created a "half-card" with the circle.
My design paper is from Doodlebug Designs and fittingly called "puppy love". I loved it so much, I snipped it and incorporated into my card! Along with a summer themed sticker tag.
I started my image by coloring the sand first. I did this knowing that I would create texture using a piece of washcloth and colorless blender. My sand choices were: E33; E55 & E53.
I hand colored the water behind my puppy with: B00; B91; B95; B97 and a white gelly roll pen.
I'm enjoy Spring, but I sure am looking forward to Summer! I hope that you will join us for this sweet card challenge! If you do-drop a picture in our Facebook group page with a picture of the Dog you'll be hugging!
