You Make Everything Better

Tia's Tips: As we approach the season of "Thanks", I find it truly important to recognize the people in my life I value the most and to remind them WHY they are so important to me. My note is not an epic tomb, nor is it a walk down memory lane. It's simply a note, and in it I share my favorite moment of/or with them from the year. And by keeping your note sweet and simple-you can send more of them out! Get started today-keep a stack of sticky-notes or index cards and make this a season of more WHY's than just thanks.

NEW RELEASE! Everything Better - Joy Clair Designs

THE PROJECT:

Welcome crafters! I'm so excited, this is my 1st new release with the Joy Clair Design Team and it's very awesome! There are just so many great stamps to work with and just in time for ALL your holiday season needs!

For my project I selected the florals in the vase from the "Everything Better" digi-set. I SUPER-SIZED my image to create a slim-line, 8.5 x 3.5 in. card design. I also selected a slim line design because I wanted to use this gorgeous die-cut from Gina Marie Designs called Petite Looped Lace Rectangle.

Having a layout ready in my head, I went to pick my papers. If your new to my site, you'll learn that I am a "pick your paper first; color last" kinda girl. I knew I wanted a Fall background for my card, but also knew I didn't want anything too busy (so stayed away from leaves). I had this gorgeous plaid from My Mind's Eye (probably picked up from Scrapbook Expo). I pulled the colors for my image from it.

COPIC COLORS USED:

Flowers: YR12; YR15; YR18; Y19; R22; R24; R27

Vase: BG01; BG45; BG07 YG97; G28

Vase:BG01; BG45; BG07

Ribbon: Y00; Y11; Y15; YR23

The flower centers were large and the perfect place for some added bling! I used Mirror Foiled and Gloss Enamel Dots from Gina Marie Designs as well.

Trimming down the sentiment, I matted it on dark brown cardstock. The flowers I fussy cut and popped-up on foam tape-I'm a sucker for dimension!

Thanks for following along! If you're new to my site-stick around and poke through my box of cards. Better yet, follow me and we'll can craft together!

Until next time-Get Crafty!
