NEW RELEASE TIME! Images from Prickley Pear Stamps & Dies

Santa and Rudolph Clear Stamp Set with Matching Dies

THE PROJECT:

Both of my cards feature Rudolph because let's face it, he is so darn cute!!! I loved that he was wearing a sweater and put my focus there!

The first card reminds me of the old tradition and new trend of "ugly sweaters". So I did my best to mish-mash colors on his sweater, but also keep in theme with the background paper I had. The background paper also reminded me of a sweater! Then I matted on a 4.5 x 5.5 in rectangle that I die cut the center of. I wanted it to be reminiscent of a polaroid picture. I stamped the sentiment and a few snowflakes around.

The second card also focused on that cute little sweater! Being that I am a Colorado girl, winters are kinda a big deal around here! So I had to show off that love with a winter shaker card and design paper professing my love of winter.

I started with my shaker card. My card is 4.5 x 6.25 in. I centered and taped down the sentiment card (from a paper pack) and stamped some of the snowflakes from the set along the sides. I die cut out a frame and trimmed my acetate to fit. I used foam tape to create walls around my image and then filled with snowflake confetti. I also glued a few pieces down so you always see some. Then unpeeled the tape and sealed it closed. I adhered Rudolph on the outside of the frame. I selected darker blue tones for his sweater-to match the background.

These were both fast, sweet holiday cards! Like many of you-I have a fairly large card sending list! I am trying to focus on individual cards that can be made fairly quickly.

I have more coming from this set, so thanks for following me today and come back soon for more! More from this set and more holiday cards!

Until next time-Go get crafty!
