Sing of Spring

Tia's Tips: If card layout's are not your strong suit, never fear-sketches are here! I recently joined with friends to create some cards using sketches from Kendra's Card Challenge #10. If you love sketches, you won't want to miss her challenge and the opportunity to win a prize. And if you just want some great sketches to make a slew of awesome looking cards-you can't go wrong! Hello Friends, that for checking in today! I apologize that I've been away for so long! In April I had Appendicitis! Surprise surgery-I don't recommend for anyone! After recovering the stars in my life aligned and an opportunity to remodel my studio presented it's self! And that is something I have been wanting to do since the start of the new year! I'll give you a few sneak peeks at the end of this! I hope to create a YouTube video of my studio as soon as I'm completely done. And I promise to keep you posted!

Anyway, we've had SO much rain over the last week that I just had to make a card to cheer myself up!

Last month I teamed up with Crafty Fun w/ Friends of LV Handcrafted and Kim Kreates to feature some cards using one of the incredible sketches from Kendra's Card Challenge #10 and stamps from Prickley Pear Stamps . I selected the Build-A-Bird-2 stamp set to work with and it was so much fun, that I decided to do it again, and flip the card-the way it was sketched!

I embossed my bird with primary red-WOW embossing powder.

Using some COPICS to color the bird and match with the wood design paper background.

I used one of Kim Kreates, loopy bows under the bird for some texture.

Then decided to stamp my sentiment on a leftover piece of scrap paper and cut it out freehand!

I kept my design vertical as sketch #8 was originally set up as. Here's the card I did last month where I flipped it-vertically. Love the versatility of these sketches and all the different bird stamps in this set!

I really love how the gold embossing helps the bird pop-out from the design paper!

Okay, as promised...here are just a few sneak peeks of what my new studio is starting to look like! Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page to follow me so you can see the full set-up when complete! And the YouTube link!

Are those stamps? A home for Props! Hubby working hard!

I can't thank you enough for stopping in and following along with me! Please scroll down and follow me!

Finger's crossed this rain let's up, until next time...

Go Get Crafty!
