Tia's Tips: Create your own glittery die cuts by making your own glitter-paper. For today's card I need those glittery die cuts and had sitting on my craft table a large jar of Star Dust embossing powder. I used my watermark stamp pad to ink up a 4x6 piece of cardstock. After covering it with embossing powder and heat setting, I had the perfect piece of glitter paper to complete the die cuts I wanted for my card.
Hi Friends! Welcome, welcome! As I like to say-Woot Woo! It's Wednesday! And Prickley Pear Stamps welcomes a HUGE stamp release today! They are releasing what is called the Celestial Collection. How cool does that sound!
Here is the first set- Moon and Stars. Such a sweet set. Solid shapes, designed shapes and two of the sweetest sentiments to match! The dies are a must! Awesome basic shapes you could cut any type of paper with, but love always the close cut of the stamp set too.
I had to use the 'Love You' sentiment first! Grabbing my Distress Inks in Violet, Picked Raspberry, Clover, Blueprint and Black Soot I created a galaxy background.
Using white acrylic paint I splattered far away stars. Then with white ink I stamped several of the stars from the stamp set. Next I created my own glittery background paper using Star Dust embossing powder. I used the die set to cut out the Moon and several stars. With a scrap piece of clear vellum paper, I die cut a rounded corner square. With the sentiment sitting on-top of it, I was able to determine where to adhere the Moon and where to stamp the sentiment. Using an A2 sized card in Melon Mambo, I adhered the galaxy base and then the Moon. I used small amounts of glue in the corners of the vellum and covered the spots with my glittery stars. Lastly, I grabbed an RV29 Copic to fill in the hearts of the sentiment.
I love how it turned out and that you can see the sparkly Moon behind the vellum!
This is going to be a crazy busy week! I went full out with the New Release of all the sets in the Celestial Collection and have LOTS of cards to share!
