Last Days of Autumn

Tia's Tip: Embossing folders can do more than just add texture to the background of a card. Highlight a feature on your card that you can "texturize".

Most of the leaves have fallen from our tree now. It's been strange this last year and a half-working from home due to the pandemic. I share the family office with my son. Who when it all started was in high-school and now in college. We configured the primary bedroom of our house into the family office, so we have a large beautiful window that looks out onto the front of our property with a tree in the front yard. I have watched this last year as the leaves sprung into the full grandeur of Spring and Summer Watched as the tree became bare in Fall and covered in snow through winter. And here we go again-I feel my card reflects this changing of the season.

I kicked it up a creative notch by using a wood grain embossing folder to give texture to the trunk of the tree that I drew with Copics.

I used #Polkadotorchard digi-stamp set :

And used each of the three leaves and the sentiment!

Come back soon! I'm working on a craft for the Thanksgiving table! And then will start working on cards for Christmas!
