The Project:
This was a really fun card to design. I opened up the "Hi Hunny" digi-set and really liked all the different hunny pots, but really wanted to focus on only a few. I also knew I wanted to tie in an image of Pooh and opted for the Balloon Pooh from 'It's A Great Day' over the Umbrella Pooh from 'Life Is A Grand Adventure'.
I printed out and inked up Pooh, then fussy cut him out. I selected several hunny pots for each corner of the card, thinking of floating Pooh in the middle, but there was still a lot of white space. I then selected one of the pots, shrunk it down and "sprinkled" it around the card. The card base paper of bees is pattern paper, but there are bees in the digi-set that could be made into background paper too.
I trimmed and rounded the corners of the hunny-pots and sponged a little Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edge before attaching it to my card base of bees. I attached foam tape to Pooh & the balloon and attached to the card. I intentionally printed Pooh large so he would stand out and anticipated cutting the balloon so it has the appearance of floating off the card.
