Happy Happy Camper

Tia's Tips: If you aren't good at free drawing backgrounds or scenes for your cards, dies are another great alternative. It today's card you will see that I fussy cut the digi-stamp scene and then supplemented it with a die-cut scene. The same can be done with design papers to fill in the scenery.

The Paper Shelter Challenge #561-Layer It Up

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize! Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-colored image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand. You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

As you read this post, I will be halfway through my Summer camping vacation.

And just like the camper in this digi-stamp, I have two pups that enjoy running around with me, my husband and son.

We have property just high enough in the Colorado Rockies to be in Bear Country. I don't mind, I just keep in mind that they are out there and to respect their space. We camp out, what we camped in with.

So this week's challenge 'Layer It Up', was fun for me with this digi. I started by fussy cutting my focal scene. I say scene because let's face it, this image itself has many layers. And then I just played along with what was naturally there, a camper with her tent in the woods. I added layers of die cut trees (Echo Park). I thought it pretty good and then my dear hubby said "Oh, you should have a stream running through her camp." So, I added even more layers with a river running in-front of her campsite.

Thanks friends for stopping in, I hope you are inspired by my card and will join the Paper Shelter Blog Challenge! I'll keep an eye out for you. If you're new to my site, PLEASE scroll to the bottom of the page and follow me for more Craftia ideas and designs.
