Tia's Tips: Holiday parties, dinner parties and get togethers-give your hostess a gift! I have a friend who is an amazing party hostess! She cooks full on spectacular buffets, themed drinks and gifts for kids! So I always make a point of making sure I reciprocate my gratitude for her with a hostess gift! I feel like it is a lost art, but let the person who is gathering all of you together know how much you appreciate their efforts! And what better way to do that than with a handmade card or set of cards!

The Project:
Happy Spring, and Happy Easter! I had fun this year creating both whimsical and faithful cards to celebrate the glory of Easter. Both of these sets were a blast to work with. So many beautify sentiments with 'Saved By Grace' and so many digital images with 'Just Chicken In'. I've already used the chickens from that set on another card, this time I focused just on the eggs and 2 sentiments from the set. And I still have a few more tricks up my sleeve with this set-so keep your eyes open!
I pulled out beautiful white satin ribbon to grace the side of my card. I lightly penciled an oval around my image to ink a subtle background. The reed cross is very thin, so they were filled in with Prismacolor pencils.
Pencils: PC 1082-Chocolat; PC 948-Sepia; PC 1094-Sandbar Brown
COPICS: Bkgd- BVOOO
Flowers: FV2; V12; Y04; Y15; YG00; YG01
Stems:YG01; YG03; YG17; YG63; YG67; G46
I'm so sorry-I don't remember where the clear baubles are from, but go to your favorite on-line craft store and search for 'clear embellishments' and your sure to find something to your liking.
I used the same Prismacolor pencils and Copics here with the exception of the background, here I used B60.
This colorful trio of cards is really for the egg-hunting kiddo in all of us! I chose bright pastels and just like making real Easter eggs, I drew zig-zags, lines and polka dots to decorate them. So, pick colors that speak to you and just have FUN!
If you are headed out for Easter Brunch or Dinner, I encourage you to make and bring a few cards with you. Give one to your Pastor and certainly the Hostess of your gathering.
Easter Blessings,
-Tia
