Tia's Trios: New to my blog are TRIOS. This is where I'm sharing with you the three cards that I designed using a SINGLE Riley (the Moose) and Company, Funny Bones sentiment.
This is definitely the sentiment for all the Pumpkin Spice lovers out there! So, here we go!
CARD #1
Cut Ups: Coffee Cups and Give Me Pie
Riley & Company has a lot of really great dies called Cut-Ups. So I channeled my inner Pumpkin Lover! To add some texture to the pie, I brushed them with Distress Ink in Rusty Hinge. I used COPICS for the coffee cups and a white gelly pen. Then I hand drew in the pumpkins on the pie plate and treated the top of the pie with my colorless blender dabbed on with a piece of washcloth.
CARD #2
-Outside/Inside
The Overlay Cut-Ups are simply AMAZING! I used a few in this release but barely touched the surface of what you could do with them. I encourage you-if you haven't already-join the Riley and Company Fan Page on Facebook. There you will find announcements, specials and inspirational cards from the design team and other talented Riley Fans!
On the card front, I cut out the sentiment several times and glued them in a stack for dimension. Added some Gold colored stickles to highlight a pumpkin. When the front still felt flat, I found this great fiber with fall colors intertwined in my stash!
For this card I opted to hide Riley inside. Just like the image, he's popping out to surprise you with the announcement of 'Pumpkin Season'!
I colored him up with COPICS, framed him with a Spellbinders die-cut square. The sentiment was inked in a complimentary shade of green atop the horizontal banner.
CARD #3
A fun start to the Halloween/Pumpkin season! I started with Burt and his laughing pumpkin. I had FrankenRiley in my stash and wanted to get him on a card and this was the perfect opportunity. The axe came from the Professional Dress Up set. But one cackling pumpkin wasn't enough! So I duplicated it and stacked them behind each other. The top one is popped up on a bit of foam tape as is the sentiment that I fussy cut around. It's hard to use busy design paper sometimes! And this was one of those times. So I took a lighter piece of orange paper to create a stage for my image to sit on and give the eye a break from the busy background. The entire scene is adhered to a green card front that is A2 in size.
Alright, that is another Riley and Company sentiment down, but I have 3 more to go AND my Veggie Lane card, so keep coming back friends!
