The Project:

I am very fortunate that my son is a reader! (he takes after me-I LOVE to read). For some reason, boys tend not to like reading as much as girls. I made sure to read to him often when he was young and always at bedtime! Every summer we signed up for the Library's reading program! If you haven't checked in awhile-do! They even have rewards for Adult summer reading!

As a reader, the one thing I am always in need of is a BOOKMARK! I swear they must go to that same place the one sock from the dryer sneaks off to!

I was delighted when I saw the "Bookworms Rule" stamp set from Your Next Stamp and knew it was perfect for making a stack of much needed bookmarks in my life!

Once I got started coloring this stack of books and adorable worm, I found I just couldn't stop!

This first bookmark, I used a Crafter's Companion die to decorate the edges. I colored my books to match with the row of colorful stars.

The other bookmark is for my mom-also a HUGE reader! She loves teal and I thought the black-polka-dot paper really popped against the teal cardstock.

Then I used book themed design paper! I didn't want to hide the books, so instead I kicked it up by using one of the sentiments from the stamp set and colored it to coordinate with the books on the paper.

**Don't forget to make those classic bookmark-tails! I don't knit or crochet, so thankfully my BFF does and I was able to pick out some really cool threads (pun intended) from her to jazz up my bookmarks. This one will go to her-a MEGA reader!

My last bookmark is for my son, I'm giving it to him with a new book for summer included! The adorable multi-hat design paper in the background is also from Your Next Stamp. I used the "For The Boys" designer paper pad! A must for any and all male themed cards featuring-3D glasses, mustaches and glasses, ties and 2 burger themed pages! I stamped and block cut the "Bookworms Rule" sentiment-that I know my son will love. On a whim, I also colored the books in a rainbow pattern.

I'm not listing my Copic's used because once again-this is so very easy to personalize and just run away with! No need to get caught up in the colors I used, just have FUN picking out your own!
